Updates for 2008 (Northern California Development):
Dear Coaches, Sensei and Judoka,
I am distributing a flyer for a new training program developed for our Northern California judo competitors (attached), sponsored by CJI and hosted by the City College of San Francisco (CCSF).
These open workouts are geared for athletes 13 years and older- male and female, Juvenile, Senior and Masters level, and will be held monthly at the CCSF Health and Wellness Center on designated Saturdays through the end of the year: June 21, July 19, August 23 (tentative), September 13, October 11, November 15, December 13.
We have exciting plans for this training, with each event consisting of dual sessions divided into judo practice and conditioning workouts designed specifically for judo athletes. Details of the program are outlined on the enclosed brochure.
The first workout in the series will take place from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 21. To kick-off the program, CJI will waive the training fees so that participants can attend at no cost.
I invite you and your students to participate in this program- an opportunity to gather our students together for a shared workout can only encourage our athletes and promote our sport. I am confident it will be a positive experience for all.
If you have any questions or would like to be involved more directly in the training program, please don't hesitate to contact me (learnedngm@gmail.com). I look forward to working with you to make these workouts a success for our students.
Yours in Judo, Marc Learned
