CJI/USJI SANCTIONS
Guidelines : UNIFORM SANCTION PROCEDURES, USJI Board of Directors, May 1, 1997
Purpose: Confirmation that an Amateur Sport Judo event is covered by insurance.
Same-venue events that combine judo, ju-jitsu and other martial arts are excluded.
"California Judo, Inc" [CJI] - Major Procedural Changes and Requirements:
1. CJI member club in good standing; Individual authorized to request Sanction;
2. DRAFT event-announcement, Entry form and Waiver & Release must be
submitted with the Application for Sanction to the Sanction chair for review with
a check for $15.00 [USD] payable to "California Judo, Inc", prior to release of any
event-documentation to the public;
Time limit: NO LESS THAN THIRTY (30) CALENDAR-DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT;
3. The 'Terms and Conditions' for a sanction, apply to the Application for Sanction;
4. If and when the Sanction is granted, the CJI Sanction number shall appear
on all pertinent documents, communications and/or inquiries, including but not limited to;
- Event announcement
- Participant's registration forms
- Waiver and Release
5. The actual "Sanction Certificate" will be sent to the event organizer(s);
6. "Sanction Certificate" shall be displayed in a plain public view before & during the event;
7. "Tournament Report" shall be filed with 'CJI' within five (5) days following the event,
including participant's Injury Report, copy of signed-entry form and signed-Waiver.
